Diving Request
Diving operations must comply with all relevant Canadian and international regulations, including but not limited to:
- Canada Shipping Act, 2001 (CSA 2001).
- Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (Canada Labour Code, Part II).
- Diving Operations Regulations (Canada Labour Code).
- IMO guidelines for diving operations.
The diving company must ensure that a qualified Diving Supervisor is present during all operations. All divers must be appropriately certified and experienced for the tasks they are to undertake.
The diving company must ensure that all necessary safety equipment, including diving suits, emergency breathing apparatus, communication devices, and first aid kits, is in good condition and available for immediate use.
Diving operations will only be allowed in safe weather conditions. Operations may be suspended or rescheduled if conditions are deemed unsafe for diving.
The diving company must maintain adequate liability insurance covering all aspects of the diving operation, including potential accidents or damages during the dive.
